Kim Yu-Na Vancouver Winter Olympics Video

YouTube seems to block all the videos of Kim Yu-Na's figure skating performance in Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics. Lucky, I could find some videos lurking around the internet of her Short Program and Free Skating performance!

Kim Yu-Na's Short Program at Vancouver Winter Olympic 2010:

In her short program, she was ranked in the first place by the score of 78,50. Next is the series of elements that she performed:

  • Triple Lutz + Triple Toeloop
  • Triple Flip
  • Layback Spin
  • Spiral Sequence
  • Double Axel
  • Flying Sit Spin
  • Straight Line Step Sequence
  • Change Foot Combination Spin

Kim Yu-Na's Free Skating at Vancouver Winter Olympic 2010:

Her Free Skating consist of the following elements:

  • Triple Lutz + Triple Toeloop
  • Triple Flip
  • Double Axel + Double Toeloop + Double Loop
  • Fly. Combination Spin 4
  • Spiral Sequence 4
  • Double Axel + Triple Toeloop
  • Triple Salchow
  • Triple Lutz
  • Straight Line Step Sequence 3
  • Double Axel
  • Flying Sit Spin 4
  • Change Foot Combination Spin 4

That performance are one of the greates moment of this century and I believe that it will be recorded in history of mankind. Just checkout Wikipedia's entry of the world record holder of ISU Judging System for the Ladies category. You would find the 19 year old girl's name filling all three slots.

She got 150,06 points for the Free Skating program. That's leaving behind a 19 points gap to the second rank Mao Asada. Thus, the total of her Short Program and Free skating reached a new 2010 world record of 228.56! The last ranked skater would need 99.02 just to equal that score.

She maybe represents South Korea on the Winter Olympics, but the whole world must be proud of her. Carrying a burden of a nation's pride, she gracefully master the ice; performing such intricate detail movements yet showing it like it was no problem at all. One could only imagine the hard trainings she had endured for years.

Go Queen Yuna!
